American Public Understands PHR, eHealth Privacy Risks

I am surprised by the survey results. Only 40% of Americans think PHRs are kept confidential? But I am not convinced that this would slow down the adoption of electronic health records. This kind of resistance existed with the computerization of personal finance and banking records. But now everyone is comfortable with security and privacy issues. On the contrary, if medical professionals and doctors do not adopt PHRs, I don’t see how the public will adopt sooner
