Security Expert Robert Siciliano on Express Scripts Data Breach
by Malorye Allison
Robert hit it right on the head. These guys must be overseas. No US company in their right mind would provide ransom money to prevent their records from being posted online.
It’s hard to say whether an insider was involved, however over and over again I see large and small companies failing to educate their employees properly about data security. I am not saying Express Scripts did not educate as I have no way of knowing that.
It is well publicized based on numerous studies that employees are involved with 75% of all data losses, with 3 out of 4 being unintentional. If companies would put the training programs in place before a breach, they could save a fortune in losses and reputation.

Although this sounds terrible, but many people are freely sharing their names and health information with one another in attempts to improve their healthcare outcomes and seek alternatives to traditional unaffordable healthcare. Although this sounds unusual to some it may become a bigger phenomeneon than we think
