Notes from the AHIP National Policy Conference
by Fred Fortin
A real national conversation is truly necessary. Republicans will try to block the “liberalization” of health care. So who should spearhead this conversation?
An Obama presidency would really indicate that people are ready to break from the past and take the “risks” necessary to trasform health care in the country.
Obama in my estimation would be an effective presient because he has the political abilities to bring some republicans along who would otherwise resist.
On the other hand, it just might take a republican to bring along some in the party who would otherwise resist.
It doesn’t get more interesting than this for a political junkie.
