Influenza Pandemic Preparations Blog Summit

If you want to get up to date on what’s happening in influenza pandemic preparedness, you might want to go over to Pandemic Flu Leadership Blog. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is hosting a five-week blog summit to discuss how best to help Americans become more prepared for a possible influenza pandemic. The summit features some distinguished health care and business leaders including Michael O. Leavitt, Secretary, HHS, Georges Benjamin, (Emeritus) Executive Director, American Public Health Association, Admiral John O. Agwunobi, Assistant Secretary for Health, HHS, and even Pierre Omidyar, Founder and Chairman, eBay among others. The first three weeks of the blog summit is a prelude to a leadership forum to be convened by HHS on June 13th in Washington D.C.which will bring together some 100 leaders to discuss the issues. The final two weeks of the blog summit will follow the forum.
