And he’s by no means the only one. Check out this from last year on my blogand the AMA doc concerned actually came back and posted in the comments. Check out that very last comment from one of my more cynical bloggers. I and others also chimed in more later.
I talk to doctors a lot and I honestly believe that they want their job to change and to get better, and not just run amok on the system. The way we pay doctors means that they dont do as good a job as they could and we MUST change that totally–blow it up. The AMA is all we’ve got in terms of leadership. But everyone else at the conference was talking about “shared responsibility”–I haven’t heard that from the AMA anywhere yet.
